Zimbabwe’s ongoing drive towards innovation and technological advancement is gaining significant momentum, with several projects under the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, innovation, science and technology development nearing completion.

The diverse range of projects, spanning bio-economy, ecotourism, satellite communication, and skills development, demonstrate the country’s commitment to embracing cutting-edge technologies and fostering innovation.

In his address during the cabinet brief, Higher and tertiary education, innovation, science and technology development, Minister Professor Amon Murwira said: “We are thrilled to report the progress on these key projects, which showcase the country’s commitment to fostering innovation and enhancing the skills and knowledge base of our people.”

He added: “The Mutoko bio-economy cooking oil plant, for example, will not only contribute to food security but also promote environmentally sustainable agriculture practices.”
